It happened kinda fast. Nagrath told us about the interview a few minutes before we've left the home to drive to the show. So we picked up some questions. First, Corporate Death told us that bass player Nafarios would answer to our questions, but when he couldn't find him, he said that he would do the interview with us.

Mephisto: It's been a long time that you have been to Austria. If I can remember right it was 1993?

CD: No, it was 1994.

Mephisto: So do you have any impressions from Vienna?

CD: We had some time off, so we were walking around in here and I liked it a lot, it's a nice place. The shows are also cool in here, because we have a little fan-base in here and people come from Germany and Switzerland to see our show. So I like it, it's really cool.

Mephisto: Do you think there will be any changes in your style in the future or will you continue with the same things?

CD: I always want progress. I never want to stay the same, I wanna do various things. So Dahmer shows that we do so, it's a kind of musical. But I always want to improve our technical style and do a lot of different vocals, because I don't like to do the same vocals or the same music all the time - I get bored with it.

Dunja: How's the tour going on, how do you get along with the other bands and how are the reactions from the people?

CD: Everything goes really good, though it's a crowded bus we are on. The shows are sold out and we play em pretty good.

Dunja: But I don't think it's sold out in here?

CD: No, not tonight, but a lot of shows are sold out usually - and I am very happy with it. I mean people are coming out to see us and today it's a Monday night and there are a lot of people. I'm happy.

Mephisto: What do you wanna express by writing songs about mass murders?

CD: It's nothing that I wanna express. It all started when I was in Junior High School when I was reading about killers and their stories and I was fascinated by it. Years later I played in a band and thought that we could write about them, so it just happened. I look at them more like a warning, so people know what's going on out there, so they know what the different killers did and stuff. It's like I wanna tell em "Watch out! There are some crazy motherfuckers out there, don't let ´em kill you or eat you!"

Dunja: Do you have contact to some of them?

CD: Yes I do. I went to deathrow for three times and I have some paintings of the killers, too. I went to Dahmer's trial... it's just research.

Mephisto: Have you met Dahmer before he was killed?

CD: No, I didn't meet Dahmer, it wasn't possible to visit him. But I like to focus on killers a lot and I research it really extensily.

Mephisto: So next time you are in here you should visit the Vienna Criminal Museum - they have a lot of stuff like that.

CD: If we had more time I wished to do so, but unfortunatelly our time is limited.

Mephisto: So now you've told us why you write down lyrics like this, so what do you think does Britney Spears express with her lyrics?

CD: I wonder if she can write any lyrics, I guess someone else writes that shit for her. It's just Pop Music, it doesn't have any meaning - it's just shit.

Mephisto: Will you first two Albums be re-released and do you have any idea when?

CD: Yes, we are trying to re-release our first two albums this year.

Dunja: With Hammerheart?

CD: Well, we will see what's gonna happen. Maybe we will also do a Live-EP on this tour, because we want to see how that comes out and we would release something like that on Hammerheart. So we like to put out the first two albums this year and we're gonna do it in the US. I'm not quite sure when it will be out in Europe then.

Dunja: So what do they sound like?

CD: The first one is pretty crazy, we recorded it 1986. We had a song like "Mister Albert Fish - was children your favourite dish?" and it's really fast and brutal music. We could say it's one of the early Death Metal stuff.

Mephisto: What kind of music are you listening at home?

CD: I listen to a lot of different styles. I like all kinds of metal, and I specially like Death Metal. There I prefer the technical stuff and there are a lot of new bands like ... Carnage, Dying Fetus.

Mephisto: So do you also like the Swedish Style like IN FLAMES and stuff?

CD: I do. As I said I like all kind of metal styles but I also like Jazz, Fusion, classical and some other weird stuff. I try to unite em all, cuz I can't listen to Metal all the time. There's no way.

Mephisto: Is loving something Christian?

CD: No, I think it's a human instinct, it's something inside us. If there's a special girl, it's just a feeling you have for her. If a Satanist has a girl I am sure he also loves her. How about a Satanist loving Satan? Is that Christian? (laughing)

Mephisto: You know, you shouldn't take those questions too serious...

CD: And you shouldn't take me too serious, I like joking with you (laughing).

(he looks on the table and finds some pills) Are these your pills? Hm, I guess they are from someone who has a cold...

Mephisto: Are you actually married?

CD: I am not married, but I came close to this a few times. I had girlfriends for a longer time like three or four years, but that's it.

Mephisto: Would you play on a marraige if someone would ask you to?

CD: We played on a wedding anniversary on Helloween, together with NILE. It was in a big hotel and a real great show. So if anyone would ask us to play on their wedding we would do that surely.

Mephisto: Do you know Jacob Creutzfeld?

CD: Wasn't it the Austrian guy who killed 6 women?

Mephisto: No, he was the one who explored mad cow desease, you know?

CD: Yes I know, I heard you should have to worry about eating beef, so I tell you all "Don't eat any beef!!" (laughing)

Mephisto: So would you sing about him?

CD: No, we only sing about killers now, in the past we did some other stuff, but not today.

Dunja: Who knows, maybe he infected the cows, so that he could find the desease and name it after him to become famous?

CD: If he made it like that, I would of course make a song bout him! But there's a man in Austria who killed 6 woman, I wanna do a song bout him, what was his name?

Dunja: Jack Unterweger.

CD: I wanna do a song about him on our next album.

Dunja: But he committed suicide...

So a discussion about Austrian murders started and we told him about Franz Fuchs and how he had killed himself... but unfortunatelly we didnt't have so much time to discuss it all and so we had to end our interview:

Dunja: And now your final words to our readers?

CD: Thanks to all our fans and all the people who follow us since a lot of years. There were a lot of people who thought we had broke up, but we are still the same and have the same Line-Up. So check out our website: www.murdermetal.com
