Ashley: SUDDEN
DEATH hails from Italy, what is the metal scene like over there?
Andrea: There’s a lot of good underground metal
bands, but it’s not so easy to “spread the word”
because of many issues due to the lack of good communication
between the band themselves and between the north and south
of the Country...it’s very difficult to achieve concerts
or export the Italian music in foreign lands...
Ashley: How did SUDDEN DEATH come together?
Andrea: We play since 1997 and now we’re together
after many line–up changes...
Ashley. What
are some of your influences?
Andrea: We’re influenced most by the greatest
American death metal bands ever, like Suffocation, Cannibal
Corpse, Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy...
Ashley: Injection Of Hate is your second full-length
album, how did it come together? What was the recording like?
And were there any differences between band members on what
was to go onto the album?
Andrea: It was wonderful! We worked all together to
the songs and also in studio we were united and directed to
the same purpose...recording the most brutal death full length
we can do!
Ashley: Are there any plans on a future release from
SUDDEN DEATH?
Andrea: Of course we’re thinking about the next
release, but anything is decided yet...we would like to have
some special guest but it’s just an idea....
Ashley Are there any plans on touring? If so, where
to and whom with?
Andrea: Yes, we’re some gigs planned for next
weeks...may the 8th we will play in our city, Rome, with other
underground metal bands, and in June the 3rd we’re going
to play with one of the biggest Italian grind core band, Undertakers,
near Naples...
Ashley: If you could choose any bands to tour with,
who would they be?
Andrea: Well, of course Morbid Angel and Cannibal Corpse...
luckily we have already shared the stage with one of our best
bands ever, Suffocation, with we have played in October 2004
as support band here in Rome! It was such an honor to play with
them!
Ashley: Are there any side projects any of the SUDDEN
DEATH members are working on?
Andrea: Yes, our guitarist has got his own band called
Disease where he sings and plays the guitar, while our drummer
also plays in another metal band called C.L.G
Ashley: How
would you describe the sound of SUDDEN DEATH?
Andrea: Brutal, Fast and without compromises!
Ashley: Are there any last words for all the SUDDEN
DEATH fans out there?
Andrea: Yes, always support the underground and keep
