[Dajana] It’s Thursday evening and the dance gets kicked off by Berlin-based Death’n’Roller : POSTMORTEM :: what on the other hand caused the closing of Brutz & Brakel (same mates), the most important cocktail bar at PARTY.SAN *grrrrrr* POSTMORTEM rocked the stage, heating up the audience with an energetic show and pyros, while the sun sets after a hellish hot day ;) Not so much innovative Death Metal but downright entertaining ;) It got even funnier when a guy got dragged to light to celebrate a chainsaw massacre and giving singer Matthias bloody kisses *lol* Who the hell was that? Quote Marcus (git): “The uncle with the chainsaw was mass murderer Henry Lee Lucas, being the antagonist to Ottis Toole! ;) So the casting! In real life this guy is Brutus, Ex-Depressive Age, Ex-Disaster Area, Ex-Bonestorm etc…“ Aha ok, hehehe. Just great!
[Claudia] Yes, POSTMORTEM was more than just a worthy opener! Both thumbs up!

[Dajana] More beer for the mood and Polish Death Metal juggernauts :: AZARATH :: who unfortunately emerges to be boring clone of Morbid Angel, just with less technical extravagances.*yawns*
[Claudia] Same to me. Rather less exciting.

[Dajana] As more :: PSYCROPTIC :: made it up again. I never saw these Tasmanian devils before and was now blown. Much better, where bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan get exhausting after a while, PSYCROTIC still groove, despite of the tricky and sophisticated guitar work. Fucking awesome and my personal highlight!
[Claudia] Agreed! PSYCROPTIC also was my highlight. Just great these guys!

[Dajana] Next band will be left aside again. I just found it terrifying again how fast people, that normally talk exactly the opposite, trivialize past and attitude of this band to negligibility, while sucking up to them.
[Claudia] I didn’t see them either but had them at Rock Hard Festival. Musically speaking they are ok for me, non-musical aspects are not ok.

[Dajana] Another JDC (Jackie-Coke) for de calii and a longsleeve. It’s getting fresh during night. At day you get roasted at 33°C+, at night you might have frozen windows at your car. To get a well-deserved stint at the party tent :: MARDUK :: must be survived. As long as there is noise on the stage, silence reigns in the party tent *hmpf*
And MARDUK take it really easy. It’s midnight… *waiting*… A quarter of an hour later the Swedes finally enter the stage with full pyro-force. Those, who now thought to get something spectacular… which was actually announced… you know, 10 years of Panzerdivision and things… Dream on! MARDUK were just thrashing the entire Panzerdisvision Marduk, garnished with some best-of songs. New tracks from the upcoming album Wormwood however weren’t presented. Why should they? That could have been too thrilling for fans I guess. Besides… no tank on stage, no slaughtered pigs, no bloods mess… What a scandal!

1:15am… MARDUK didn’t finish yet…JDC… 1:30 they still play?… can someone please unplug electricity? No? 1:45… no end in sight, the party tent still silent…ah ok, they have to drain the gas for the pyros… another song, more pyros… another JDC…1:50am… FINALLY!!!
[Claudia] *groans* MARDUK is not really my cup of tea and so my attention was anywhere else. I actually was just waiting for the kick off in the party tent ;)

[Dajana] As unleashed everybody still able rushes to the tent and starts to party. So we do ;) Sometime later I reached my level and toddled off the our tent ;)
[Claudia] Unfortunately, the metal disco closed way too early. The time MARDUK played too long should have been extended at the party tent. But hey, there are more nights to come ;)
