[Psycho] With quantum leaps the ROCK HARD FESTIVAL rushes towards its 10th anniversary. What once was planned as a single event to celebrate the magazine’s 20th anniversary became one of the favorite festivals in Germany and Europe. How time flies… 2012 we gonna party hard ;)
Meanwhile the Rock Hard crew has found its own style organizing this festival and makes us find our ways blindly. Literally. If you attended this festival once or twice you feel like home every new year you drop by. Security and measures got tighten as everywhere (after the tragic Loveparade) and caused some confusion and trouble. Not officially announced or communicated but only Tetrapaks were allowed and everything else consequently collected. I guess the Rock Hard team has now water and juice bottle entities for years. Some time later it seemed to be no problem anymore to get plastic bottles inside. WTF… what way now?

[Psycho] Much more the crew enjoined the fans not to leave its trash around. It might even happen that the ROCK HARD FESTIVAL won’t take place at Amphitheater anymore. But let’s face it: when that is such a burning issue, why ain’t there more trash bags around? Especially around the beverage and food carts most trash accrues but there was hardly any bin or bag to find.

[Terry] I think, this advice was specially meant for the camping ground. But it seems many fans still don’t give a fucking shit. When leaving the camping ground on Monday morning piles of garbage were left again (incl. pavilions, tents and even special waste in the form of car batteries). Damn… that can’t be that difficult, can it?
It was new that the organizers have completely blocked the other side of the channel. I well remember the pile of garbage left last year. Now we got what we deserve. That makes me really angry!

[Psycho] Another novelty… or better said revival - compared to the first festivals - was the comeback of rain. Well, not really an improvement… But more about this later ;)

[Dajana] Besides, we had to face a hardening of prices. Even if we now got 0.4 cups instead of 0.33, also food prices increased. The quality of sound is debatable too. There were a couple of problems and many fans quite disappointed.

[Dajana] But generally speaking we definitely had a great weekend :) Once again! A great selection of bands, good vibes and high spirits, and an awesome atmosphere around. Love it! And a special thank you I once again would like to send out to CCS Security. You guys are just awesome!
