Being
on the black list for a speed issue again, I started early and
took it easy on my way to Frankfurt. It was a wonderful day with
great weather and breathtaking panorama views when passing the
mountains with huge clouds formations piling up and a rising full
moon above. Too bad that I could not just stop and take pictures…
*sighs*

Thank to hints
I realized BEFORE that the WARRIOR SOUL show was downgraded
to a smaller club in the center of Frankfurt called Nachtleben
;) The booked one (Batschkapp) has the same size as the Zeche
the day before and would have been way too big. So, good for the
bands, because of a way more intimate atmosphere and with more
than 200 fans the location was already crowded.

The stage
is tiny and :: AVATAR
:: had to do their show without all the special light
equipment. As for me no drama, less posing and this way the band
appeared more serious, grown-up, ya know, not that Poser-like
as in Bochum ;) Only drummer John Alfredsson seemed to have lots
of problems and was close to despair for not having enough space
for his drumming activities. Every now and then he was battering
and kicking his stool. Also the other band members had to care
for themselves and the audience for not spearing them with guitars.
The Swedes went down really well, right from the beginning and
the atmosphere was quickly heated up. What struck me (only) was
the fact that singer Johannes Eckerström did exactly the
same announcements. Hey dude, what about more individual announcements???
Anyway, AVATAR released their current, third and self-titled
record in November last year, but I think it went down a little
bit due to the blue and ear-pointed euphoria.
Setlist: Reload, Roadkill, The Great Pretender, Shattered
Wings, And I Bid You Farewell, Deeper Down, Queen Of Blades

When ::
WARRIOR
SOUL :: jumped onto stage the crowd completely
freaked out. Again, many die-hard fans attended this show; some
just saw WARRIOR SOUL for the very first time, making dreams
come true ;) It was hot and sweaty, on stage as well as in front
of, although there were just 3 lights on (ok, maybe 5 or 6 on
backburner). Bass-player Janne and guitarist Johnny most time
were left in the shadows, also taking pics was a pain, but hey,
the atmosphere was just stunning. And most people anyway focused
on Kory Clarke only. A wave of excitement ran through the club
and made WARRIOR SOUL playing a different setlist. Burning
Bridges got played live for the very first time and after
Charlie's Out Of Prison, the second encore got extended
by the songs Bad News (Rock 'n' Roll Boyfriend) and Lullaby
:) I think that was one of the best WARRIOR SOUL shows
ever, at least of the last 2 years. Though, I cannot get enough
;) As for all these great songs WARRIOR SOUL have written
they have to play a 3 hrs show at least *sighs* What a great show…
