[Dajana] Woohoo. Party time! Our favorite festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary. What a birthday! Congratulations to the PARTY SAN crew! It is no secret that the NOCTURNAL HALL crew gets bitten by nostalgia when striking the tent on the field of the just finished PARTY SAN OPEN AIR. On the way back home plans for the next year’s edition are made, long before we attend our editorial duties ;) And the following 364 days till the gates to hell open again drag on, and on, and on, and on. Hell yeah, finally, finally, time is over and we can start. Anticipation is huge; we have ants in the pants for weeks and can hardly await to hit the road. Now, now… NOW we start!

[Dajana] Aaahhh, the billing once again did not leave much to be desired. Many highlights to spot as there are: SÓLSTAFIR, SATYRICON, GRAND MAGUS, KATATONIA and EREB ALTOR… and… and… You know ;) But there also some special appearances like reunited Grindcore veterans REPULSION, and bands I never have seen playing live before. Man, everything’s so thrilling again ;)

[Dajana] From the organizational side of thinks everything was (almost) perfect again. Straighten handling at the main entry has stood the test, no queues. There was the familiar offer for shopping (oh, dear…), food and drinks. Sanitary installations got once again flattened and/or reorganized and prices increased. Inflation offset so to say. Only the dark beer remained at 2.50 Euro :)

[Dajana] The security (DWS) acted quite harsh this year, taking drastic actions. Dunno if there have been reasons for that resulting from last year’s happenings. Some PSOA newbees anyway got caught with pants down and photographers in the pit quickly had elbows in their rips. On the other hand security much more patrolled the festival area to put a stop to the thief’s games and to settle (drunken) conflicts.
